Dan's visit
This past weekend, Dan flew out from Chicago to visit and go shooting at a relative's ranch.
We had a good time camping out in the middle of nowhere, shooting Prairie Dogs, and staying up watching the sky and talking.
We also took a run up to Trailridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park this morning before I had to take him back to the airport. Dan was very patient and understanding while Corben fussed for much of the drive.
When we dropped Dan off at the airport in Denver, we said goodbye then Emma yelled out the window, "Daddy, I don't want Dan to go!" On the way home from the airport, she told me that she thought it was neat that Dan had stayed at our house, and wanted to know when he was going to be back.
Thanks for visiting Dan!

Hey John!!
I have just found your blog and I was reading all of your posts ... especially the posting were you wrote about leaving the studio:
"It felt like the last moment of the last episode of some great sitcom. But it was just me in an empty place."
That's exactly what it felt like ... and I've done it twice .)
It's great to hear that your "westward expansion" went well so far. I still hope that I will see you sometime at your place to go snowboarding with you! Till then I will follow your blog and wish you and your family all the best!!
Big hug from Germany,
Steffen
