What happened?!

Yesterday I mentioned that I had a great week. Let me do a quick summary of the past several weeks.

A few weeks back, I was facing 2 large deadlines at the end of May/beginning of June. 2 weeks before the deadlines, Tyler's machine stopped working, and we lost a day or so of work getting a new machine and setting it up so he could keep working. The next week, the week before everything was due MY machine crashed. I lost almost a week of time trying to get the machine back online before finally giving in and buying another machine.

2 new machines in 2 weeks with deadlines looming large.

I ended up working a ridiculous number of hours for several weeks. I worked right through Memorial Day weekend, the whole next week, and the following weekend.

I was planning on taking 2 students to Wounded Knee Indian Reservation in South Dakota with another group. We were supposed to leave on June 5. One of the students cancelled at the last minute, so after talking with some good friends, I decided to cancel the trip to Wounded Knee.

That was the best decision I have made in a long time. I worked very little that week and spent a lot of time with my family. Saturday night Steffen and his sister Meike arrived from Germany, and Sunday through Wednesday we spent all our time in the mountains camping, hiking, taking pictures, a little shopping, and sitting in really nice Hot Springs.

The Hot Springs we went to were Strawberry Park Hot Springs. They were very nice, clean, well-landscaped and the perfect temperature. The one tidbit of information to be aware of is that after dark clothing is optional.

We had a great time. The past 2 weeks have been really good for me.
