International Youth Convention 2006 - Anaheim, California

2 weeks ago I took 2 students and one adult volunteer to Anaheim, California for the Church of God International Youth Convention.

We left Fort Collins at 5AM and drove to Las Vegas and stayed the night with some friends of mine - Matt and Jenny Shelton and their 2 boys - Jonah and Ethan.

We arrived in Anaheim and checked into our hotel. We met up with Chelsea who had gone to California 2 weeks early and was with her old youth group from Exeter, CA. Missy and Christy stayed with Chelsea and some other Exeter folks.

We had speakers every night and great worship music. One of the days we served in Orange county by cleaning several blocks worth of a bike trail, then painting over the graffiti and re-sealing the pavement on the trail.

We had a great time, the students all had moments where they felt that they saw God and grew spiritually, and we built some great bonds within our group and with the group from Exeter. It was great to see Matt and Jenny, to meet their 2 boys, to swim in their pool and enjoy their amazing hospitality.
