Summer is coming

This past weekend we went to Rocky Mountain National Park with Nancy's parents and her sister's family. We spent the afternoon at the campsite her parents were to spend the night at with our 2 oldest kids.

Here is a quick collage of Abby running around with a cowboy hat that used to belong to Corben. She was so cute it was almost too much to handle.

This marks the second weekend in a row when I have spent a substantial amount of time with my family, gone to the mountains and had a great time.

The past several months have been some of the busiest I can remember. I have been working on some great projects for some great clients, making a fair amount of money in the process and sacrificing all my family time.

Things are leveling out a little which is nice. I flew to Chicago last week and spent some time at my former employer - Studio North. It was a whirlwind, the trip was entirely last-minute and I just worked and slept while I was there. Barring any problems, I will be handling some development work for them for several months, which is great because typically the summer is very slow for me.

It was great to see everyone while I was in Chicago. Michael (VP Operations) and his wife Teri had me stay at their beautiful house - which is a home away from home for me. Teri made me an amazing dinner my first night there and they had a thoughtful gift waiting for me when I went to bed. My second night there Michael had called a bunch of my close friends who came over and spent a few hours just hanging out and shooting the breeze. I really appreciated the folks who came over. It meant a lot that they would take time out of their schedule to do a last-minute get-together.

Thanks Michael and Teri for your hospitality and kindness. Thanks to all the guys who came over: Dan, Doug, Andy, Matt and Jim. And thanks to Mark Mohr and Studio North for the continued work and relationship.
