E Journey partners with City of Lakewood

You are all crazy, what a relief! Just wanted to update you on some cool things happening, we need your prayers, as I have found out without God's protection and strength, it is better to not show up or you can get kicked in the groin. Ha, things are going well and it is good to read what is going on in your lives! What ever happened to April Diaz???

What can I say, these days have been marked with great progress, along with a great workload for both the NFP Venture "E Journey Inc." and "Red Rocks Church." We recently partnered with Colorado Christian University to do a massive fundraiser for E Journey Inc. This will receive media coverage and we have a shot at getting some of the Denver Nuggets to show up at the event...Here it is: Check out our media site at www.earthbeathome.comOn August 20th, 2005, over 400 high school, college, and community leaders will participate in an epic clean-up project in the communities of Lakewood, Golden, and targeted areas within Denver. These volunteers will spend the day cleaning up creeks, parks, roads, playground equipment and graffiti for the City and Park Districts. These individuals will be participating in the annual work-a-thon called "Earthbeat 2005". As a result of this project, the communities of Lakewood, Golden, and Denver will receive over 2000 hours of free community service. That service will make a difference in the environment, community, and in the lives of those who participate.Individuals from E-Journey Inc., a non-profit working with youth, young adults, and mentors, along with the help of Colorado Christian University and Red Rocks Church, are currently seeking pledges based upon a 5 work-hour project. All individual and corporate contributions are tax-deductible. The funds raised by these individuals will be directed toward non-profit efforts that specifically motivate youth and young adults to make positive life choices and realize their potential as individuals and in their community. On August 20th, 2005, we will all be winners. The cities of Lakewood, Golden, and Denver will be 2000 hours cleaner than it was the day before. Much needed community work will be completed at no cost to community residents, and the funds that support vital non-profits will be raised to continue making a difference for the next generation and to make events like Earthbeat possible. Please help us with your participation in this community project. To become a contribution partner, contact E-Journey and begin making a difference today!

z-nice job at helping the community. at least the nuggets can get exposure to what "winning" feels like. definitely sounds like these students will be turning responsibility into some valuable experience. btw, there is a recent report on april and a link to her contact information...just scroll down a abit.
